Alfred “Al” Martz, patrol officer

Al became a member of the Chesterfield Police Department in April 1979. He has worked since that date with the agency in many services.

He was the lieutenant of the reserve officers for several years and helped to incorporate fundraisers for the agency to help the officers to defer the costs of being members of the organization. His knowledge and expertise was instrumental in getting needed equipment for these officers.

Al is a member of the Anderson Auxiliary Police in Anderson, Indiana, as well as a member of the United Steel Workers Union of America.
