Katrina Effort
Five officers from the Chesterfield Police Department departed Chesterfield to help in the relief efforts being performed by the men and women of law enforcement in the Mississippi and Louisiana areas that were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Chief James Kimm led a contingent of four other Chesterfield officers to help with delivering needed supplies and security for the ravaged area.
Other members of the
group include Robert Stewart, Patrick Hoose, Todd Scott, and
Craig
Mayes. These officers departed Chesterfield on Tuesday, September 6,
2005, enroute to Biloxi, Mississippi to join up with FEMA. The officers were able to raise $2,300 in monetary donations, helping them to defer the costs of the trip.
The department would like to thank those that helped to
make this effort by this agency possible through their donations and
cooperation. |
